Three years of building and launching a superyacht 87 meters in a video of more than five minutes

The video, which is over five minutes long, encapsulates the entire 87-meter-long Lonian superyacht from being a pile of materials to launching.

Dutch company Feadship shared a three-year fast-forward video of building the 87-meter-long Lonian luxury yacht, attracting more than 700,000 views since it was posted, Long Room reported on August 29. Starting from the metal piles piled around the factory, after 15 seconds, the yacht took shape.

Its size makes the houses along the route look small.

In the clip, the yacht’s head is transported by barge along the canal to another factory and superimposed on the rapidly assembled fuselage. At this point, the yacht started to look like the finished product. However, the final step of the build takes place elsewhere.

The workers steer the yacht moving along the narrow canal by tugboat to the yard of the Feadship. The yacht wriggled through numerous gates and bridges in its journey. Its size makes the houses along the route look small.

After being finished in the company yard, Lonian becomes truly magnificent and only needs to decorate a few more places. “This beautiful 87-meter yacht is out there adding to the exterior details before its official launch. It has enough accommodation for the yacht’s owner and 12 guests along with a crew of 27.” , Feadship said.
