A new study has shown the difference in color perception of countries around the world.
Yellow has always been known as the color that brings energy and happy emotions. But according to a new study, not everyone feels the special effects brought by yellow. In different situations, each person’s perception of color is also different.
To find out what factors may play a role in influencing color perception, the researchers tested a new hypothesis: Whether geographical factors, weather, and other factors affect the emotions of people. human about color or not? For example, if someone living in Finland has overcast, cold and rainy weather, would they perceive yellow as someone living near the Sahara desert?
Accordingly, the researchers looked at color emotion data from an ongoing international survey of 6625 people in 55 countries around the world.
The emotional map is compatible with the yellow color of the countries of the world.
The light and dark patches in the map above show how happy each area is with the color yellow. Accordingly, most people living in countries located far from the equator are more receptive and happy with the color yellow. For each country, the team conducted a detailed analysis of the number of hours of sunshine, the number of daylight hours, the annual rainfall and the distance of that country from the equator.
People who live further away from the equator have a psychological preference for bright colors. Finland is known as a cold and rainy country, residents here have a love of yellow up to 87.7%. In the United States, with its mild climate and gray skies, 60% of happiness associates with the color yellow. Meanwhile, Egypt, a country located near the equator, has only a happiness level of 5.7. % with this same color.
It is no coincidence that the happiness symbol is yellow.
In the sentiment analysis map, Finland is the country with the highest level of compatibility with yellow. Interestingly in Asia, Japan is the only country with a high level of happiness in yellow, similar to the US (60-70%). Vietnam is in the mid-range group with an index of 40-50%, similar to most other countries in Asia.
In the same study, scientists have demonstrated that color emotions in humans do not change greatly with the seasons . Whether it’s summer or winter, everyone’s color feelings remain stable.
