The giant swing as tall as a 30-story building sits on the edge of a 700-meter cliff and is expected to open its doors next year.
The building will open to visitors on January 1, 2020.
The world’s largest giant swing is being built on the edge of a 700m-high cliff at Yunyang Longgang Scenic Area in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing. The building has a 100m high arch and a 108m high tower.
According to chief engineer Shi Xuebin, the swing can take visitors up to a height of 88m, reaching a maximum speed of nearly 130km/h. The building withstands earthquakes of magnitude 10 on the Richter scale and winds up to 165km/h. Currently, the items are almost completed, undergoing a 4-month safety check.
The giant swing will open to guests on the first day of 2020. The management board of Yunyang Longgang scenic area is also planning to register a Guinness record for the work to be recognized as the world’s largest swing. .
