Jewel bath is being introduced at the exhibition in Dubai for $ 2 million (more than 45 billion), made from extremely rare fossil wood materials.
Along with the rich lifestyle of the super rich, many luxury products have been created to meet and keep up with the demand. Recently, designer Nigel Fenwick has introduced an expensive bathtub model costing 2 million USD (more than 45 billion VND).
This luxury bathtub is on display at an Interior Design exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Center until March 29, 2018. The appearance of the rare Jewel bath has attracted the eyes of many visitors to the exhibition, especially the rich.
Expensive bathtub made of rare wood.
This bath product was named Jewel by Fenwick. The price of this bathtub is so high because it is made from fossil wood that comes from the rainforest in Indonesia. The wooden block weighs 14 tons and is about 180 million years old.
Fossil wood is wood that has been buried in soil or lava for tens of millions of years. The burial process causes the wooden slabs to become petrified, making them look like a block of gems.
Fossil wood is extremely rare. Along with millions of years, the original wood still retains the same shape and structure as before being buried over time.
Fenwick said: “The story behind this beautiful and extremely rare bathtub shows the dramatic and difficult path in the pursuit of a perfect work of art. Fossil wood is one of those materials. The rarest and most beautiful in the world, many people still believe it can help cure diseases.
Not long ago, marine conservation expert Volker Bassen found a 180,000-year-old fossilized seashell on the border between Kenya and Tanzania, weighing 373kg. Later, Volker turned this shell into a showcase sink in an exhibition in Dubai and put it up for sale for 3,000.
