No one had any information about the object until Mr. Robert Phillips, employee of Van Moppes company responsible for the repair of this work, decided to return it.
According to CNN on May 8, during excavations in the 1950s, cracks were discovered in the rocks at Stonehenge.
To prevent the rocks from falling apart, Van Moppes engineers drilled a hole in them. The core of the rock was removed and inserted with a piece of metal wire.
A total of 3 rocks were drilled and Mr. Phillips took a core segment, the remaining 2 segments are still unknown.

Mr. Phillips displayed the stone core in his office and then brought it to the US, where he lived after he retired. However, on his 90th birthday, Mr. Phillips decided to return the stone core to English Heritage, the organization that preserves Stonehenge.
This core segment is believed to be an important part and is a specimen that helps scientists study to find the origin of the rocks at Stonehenge.
To this day, scientists have not determined the true origin of the Stonehenge stones and who built this work.
According to RT, anthropologists previously thought that the megalithic culture (the culture of building large stone structures) originated in the Mediterranean or the Near East, while some other theories say it was invented. at 6 independent locations in Europe.
