Scientists talk about chimpanzee-human hybrid experiment

A famous scientist makes a shocking statement about the birth of a hybrid chimpanzee in a laboratory in the US.

Evolutionary psychologist Gordon Gallup claims a former professor at his university confirmed the chimpanzee hybrid experiment – which was successfully conducted in Orange Park, Florida, USA, in the 1920s, according to Mirror . A female chimpanzee was artificially inseminated with human sperm before becoming pregnant and gave birth to a half-human, half chimpanzee baby.

“They inseminated a female chimpanzee with human semen from an unnamed donor and confirmed that not only was the pregnancy, but the birth went smoothly and gave birth to a live baby. But only a few days. days or weeks later, they start to consider the ethical aspects and destroy the young ,” Gallup quoted Sun as saying.

Gallup confirmed that the man who revealed the experiment was a trusted scientist who had worked at Yerkes before the research center was moved to Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1930.

The earliest and most striking example of an attempt at chimpanzee-human hybridization is the work of Russian scientist Ilya Ivanovich Ivanov, who conducted a series of famous experiments in the 1920s. He used human sperm to artificially inseminated female chimpanzees, but none became pregnant. Ivanov was also the author of several controversial experiments using primate sperm, but his project was suspended and never resumed.

In 1958, the chimpanzee Oliver was called ” human chimpanzee” due to its unusually human-like appearance. It can stand upright on two legs instead of crawling on its hands, has a bald head with freckles and a prominent nose. But a DNA test in 1996 revealed that Oliver had 48 chromosomes, similar to that of a common chimpanzee. Oliver died in 2012 at the age of 55.

According to Gallup, it is possible to cross humans not only with chimpanzees but also gorillas and orangutans. “Humans and all three great primates are descended from a common ancestor. I think two terms that fit the gorilla-human and orangutan-human hybrid are ‘hurilla’ and ‘hurang”’ ‘ said Gallup.

While admitting the chimpanzee-human hybrid is interesting, Gallup isn’t sure if the costs of this controversial biological experiment will outweigh the benefits.
