Solar energy is a source of energy generated from the electromagnetic radiation that the sun shines on the Earth.

Solar energy is also absorbed by the Earth’s hydrosphere and Earth’s atmosphere to produce meteorological phenomena that contain exploitable forms of energy storage.

Geothermal energy is energy extracted from heat in the Earth’s interior. This energy comes from the early formation of the planet, from radioactive decay of minerals, and from solar energy absorbed at the Earth’s surface.

Tidal energy is energy harnessed from the power of water currents. Electricity is generated by a system of dams, water turbines and generators.
