The Japanese invented "milk tea-flavoured water" from a very simple method

The Japanese have been very famous to the world for their boundless creativity. When the secret of the feverish “milk tea flavored water” is revealed, people are even more amazed.

Surely you still haven’t forgotten the “tea flavored water” and “milk tea” craze that have just raided Vietnam from the land of cherry blossoms? Those are bottles containing transparent water, but when drinking, the taste is very fragrant and sweet from the cups of milk tea causing fever among young people.

It is known that these water bottles are manufactured by Japanese company Suntory and imported to Vietnam by hand-carried route. According to what is noted on the label, this product is made from real tea leaves and milk.

However, that alone is not enough to satisfy the curiosity of consumers. Many people think that this is actually just water and flavoring, and this means that it has no health benefits.

And because of that, Suntory recently revealed the process of creating these strange water bottles. As it turns out, it is indeed made from real natural ingredients.

As Suntory explains, the water will be boiled, and the steam will pass through a layer of black tea to infuse the tea flavor. This amount of steam is then cooled, leaving a layer of tea-flavored liquid that is transparent like filtered water.

Same with milk tea filtered water. The composition of milk includes fat, protein, lactose and minerals, of which the last two are colorless. So if we can separate these two ingredients, we will have a clear liquid but still have the taste of milk, then combine with the “filtered tea” water above to get the “milk tea” product that causes fever.

But the problem here is that the Japanese way of preparation is completely based on an extremely simple method, which has been introduced by mankind since ancient Greece and we have learned since childhood. It is distillation .

Distillation can be understood as a method of using heat to separate a mixture in a solution. For example, vaporize sea water to obtain salt – that’s distillation. However, even if the desired product is vapor, it is also called distillation.

The method of distillation has been around since time immemorial.

The method of distillation appeared on the Indian mainland in ancient times, with a lot of ancient evidence to be found. At that time, essential oils were distilled the most. By the mid-1000s, distillation became an extremely important method when alcohols and acids were introduced.

Today, distillation is a method that can be called basic, used a lot in modern industries, such as perfumery, petroleum distillation…

But for that reason, the application of a basic method to create a creative fever product like “milk tea filter water” has proven how good the Japanese are.

The culture, cuisine and industries of the Japanese have always been in a different position, making the world admire.
