The world's strangest natural gold block, the value is incalculable

The gold block named “Ram’s Horn” was discovered in 1887, so rare that the following scientists have never dared to estimate the value.

According to The Sun, “Ram’s Horn” was found in a gold mine in Colorado, USA, 132 years ago. It is a golden block split into 3 branches, bent at the end. The gold block is 12cm high and weighs about 0.22kg.

The world's strangest natural gold block, the value is incalculable
“Ram’s horn” has a very strange shape.

This gold block is considered a masterpiece created by nature. So for more than a century, no one dared to analyze the gold mass for fear that experiments might damage its structure.

Today, researchers also do not mention the value of the gold block for security reasons.

Recently, a team from Los Alamos National Laboratory used a particle accelerator to understand the structure of gold, by firing neutron atomic particles, which can penetrate the surface of gold.

The results show that Ram’s Horn” is an alloy of gold and silver , of which silver makes up 30%. Natural gold can be molded into beautiful and rare masterpieces because they are naturally heated from the ground and then flow out into the interstitial rocks into golden strips.

“Ram’s horn” is currently kept at the Museum of Minerals and Geology of Harvard University, USA.

Research details will be published soon and may reveal more things people don’t know about this mysterious gold mass.
