“In order to have enough medical masks to supply to pharmacies to stabilize prices, currently, our unit has produced about 150,000-200,000 medical masks/day, doubling the production capacity. compared to normal days. The selling price of each mask is from 500 VND to 1000 VND”.
Talking to PV, a representative of Truong Manh Medical Equipment Co., Ltd (Bac Ninh) said that medical masks in Vietnam are manufactured according to a process by automatic machines.
A 4-layer medical mask includes the following parts: antibacterial paper, non-woven fabric, elastic strap and nose bundle .
The stages to produce a medical mask are performed mainly by a machine system, following an automatic process.
With each production machine system, there will be about 3 people working, including 1 technician and 2 workers.
After being manufactured, the medical masks will be counted by workers and packed into boxes labeled with the manufacturer’s label.
What makes mask manufacturers worry now is that the raw material is seriously lacking. Previously, raw materials were all imported from China, but now they cannot be imported because the demand in China is a thousand times greater. These two enterprises said that with the current capacity, the remaining fabric in stock is only enough to maintain production for more than 1 month.
