SOUTHERN ARGENTINA
After years of research, the Argentine Society for the Investigation of Unusual Phenomena announced in 1973 that machines from another world had established undersea bases in the gulfs of San Matias and San Jorge, in the coastal waters of southern Argentina.
By the early 1960s, flying saucer sightings had become so frequent along the coast of Patagonia that they no longer caused surprise, the Society stated. The most convincing sighting to support the hypothesis occurred on 14 August 1968, when 100 witnesses observed the trajectory, covering a distance of 700 kilometres, of five extremely luminous ellipsoid objects which rose up out of the Gulf of San Matias and then submerged again in the Gulf of San Jorge.
