The biggest sea monster in the Scottish sea: Eats 7 whales at once

Stepping out of the mythical world of Scotland, the giant sea monster Cirein Croin was once the terror of seafarers.

The ocean is a world that still contains too many mysteries for humans. Beneath the deep water, where the sun cannot reach, may be giant, powerful creatures.

Because they can’t fully understand the ocean, people often weave stories about scary sea monsters. One of them is Cirein Croin – A monster from Scottish mythology.

According to Scottish mythology, the Cirein Croin is the largest of the sea monsters that dwell in the deep sea. The seas they inhabit are near the seas in England and Scotland.

With the body shape of a Plesiosaur reptile that lived in the time of the dinosaurs, the Cirein Croin monster has a long neck, short tail, huge abdomen, short tail and two pairs of large flippers.

To make it easier to imagine their huge body size, Scottish mythology has described, they can “eaten” 7 whales weighing hundreds of tons at once! Whale is also Cirein Croin’s favorite dish.

The large body, full of terrifying destructive power is not the most terrible thing about this giant monster Cirein Croin.

Scots folk say that the Cirein Croin has the ability to transform. When hungry, it will turn itself into a small fish, with attractive silver fins to “lure” other large fish.

Once it attracts the attention of its prey, it transforms back into the beast of the ocean and enjoys a delicious meal.

And yet, night fishermen are also attracted to it. A lot of people go to the sea “one go and not come back” because of this cunning monster.
