Tales of the Yeti in the Himalayas have engrained mysteries in Nepali folklore for centuries and still stir the imagination to this day.
After decades, the Indian army has finally presented evidence that the Yeti actually exists.
The story of the snowman continues to be an unsolved mystery.
The Indian Army claims to have found Yeti footprints near the Makalu base on the border between Nepal and China. They even posted images of the alleged Yeti footprints on their Twitter account.
Previously, snowmen were only seen at Makalu-Barun National Park . The hashtag #Yeti is even trending second highest on Twitter in India. However, while a lot of people were attracted, there were still many skeptics who thought that this could be a joke.
Footprints are believed to belong to the Yeti.
Scientifically, many argue, there is no existence of any overgrown apes that roam the super high mountains of Asia.
Previously, in 2014, scientists analyzed the DNA of two samples believed to be snowmen from the Himalayas, one from Ladakh in India and the other from Bhutan, reported to belong to the Yeti. .
Interestingly, the samples were later identified as those of a mysterious bear whose closest genetic relative was the ancient ancestor of polar bears.
