Google Earth detects plane sinking under the sea?

A man in the UK was shocked and couldn’t believe his eyes after spotting a sunken plane on his Google Earth browser. Robert Morton, 55, found the incredible image under the sea near Edinburgh.

Morton, a mechanical blacksmith and father of three from Doncaster, UK, said the image showed an underwater plane and told Mirror Online the discovery was “particularly astonishing”.

Morton also said: “On 5/11 while simply surfing on Google Earth, by chance, I came across an image of the plane. It looks like it’s the sea, just off the coast of Edinburgh. It looks like the plane is under water. It’s very, very strange. Unbelievable. I’ve never actually seen an airplane on Google Earth.”

So what’s the real story behind the painting?

Morton said he had never heard of a plane crash in that area, and offered a practical solution to the mystery.

He described his search as a “Google anomaly”. “In fact, the plane wasn’t underwater, maybe it was because the satellite camera had captured the plane’s image through a thin cloud to get that image.”

Google was asked to comment on this story, but has not yet responded.
