The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is being considered as one of the cleanest areas in the world thanks to its low impact on human activities.
Located in southwestern China, this plateau covers 25% of the mainland mainland, including the entire Tibet Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province, along with parts of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Sichuan provinces. South, Gansu and Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
The plateau covers an area of about 2.6 million square kilometers and most of it is located at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters above sea level. Dubbed the “roof of the world” , the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is also the natural habitat of many rare animals.

Ecosystem development on this plateau is being viewed by Beijing as an important part of its efforts to build a quality living and working environment for its people, as well as contributing to ensuring global ecological security.
In the immediate future, a system of preserving and protecting the plateau is being developed step by step. Besides, they also improve policies and regulations to form a complete system to ensure ecological development there. Up to now, the plateau has 155 nature reserves with a total area of 822,400 square kilometers .
Beijing added that a number of ecological projects carried out have achieved many positive results in ecological conservation, curbing ecological degradation and restoring local biodiversity.
